- Watch the Steroid video on my computer. Complete the video guide sheet and turn in to substitute. We will correct it on Wednesday. This video also has some important information about alcoholism. The steroid portion is the last segment of the video.
- Complete a 5-6 slide presentation on powerpoint or keynote on a sports injury of your choice. Please address the the following in your presentation:
- Pick your injury.
- Describe what part of the body is affected and how can this injury occur.
- What are the treatment options if this injury occurs? For example, does it require surgery?
- How can this injury be prevented?
- Include appropriate images of this type of injury.
- Watch the YouTube video below. Answer the following questions.
- Compare and contrast static vs. dynamic stretching.
- Which is the most beneficial for a pre-game warm up and why?
- Which type of stretching do you think would increase your own personal flexibility?
- Give two examples of a static stretch and two examples of a dynamic stretch.
- In your fitness plans you must incorporate both types of stretches. (stretching must be demonstrated on your fitness plan at least 4 days a week).
- Complete all other tasks as assigned by substitute. This may include doing some sections out of your health book if needed.
